The Youths Digest Campus Journalism Initiative has announced the commencement of entries for the 7th edition of the Campus Journalism Awards (CJA), a national platform that celebrates the contributions of student journalists across Nigeria.
The 2025 edition, themed “AI and the Future of Journalism,” will spotlight the role of young reporters in navigating a fast-evolving media landscape shaped by artificial intelligence and technological innovation. According to the Convener, Gidado Yushau Shuaib, this year’s awards will recognize 30 finalists across 13 categories.
Entries officially opened on Wednesday, October 1, and will close on Tuesday, October 14. The grand award ceremony is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 6, in Abuja. Interested participants can submit their work through the official portal, www.youthsdigest.org, or via email at awards@youthsdigest.org.
The initiative is hosted in partnership with the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC)/Transparency International Nigeria and supported by the Voice of Nigeria (VON).
Organizers say the 7th edition will not only celebrate outstanding student journalism but also highlight innovation, creativity, and the commitment to truth that is shaping the future of Nigeria’s media industry.
